What softwares can be used to design PCB’S ?
I have used Pspice in the past in college and I thought they could be used to design Printed Circuit Boards . Is that true ?
I see that Autocad is mostly for Mechanical designs . If so are there a lot of softwares out there for designing Circuit Boards ?
What are they ?

One software package for PCB design is
EAGLE Light Edition (freeware)http://www.cadsoft.de/freeware.htm
There are many others
OrCADhttp://www.cadence.com/products/orcad/in…
For a long list seehttp://www.olimex.com/pcb/dtools.html
These packages export files in the format required by PCB fabrication houses. The files can generally be submitted on line. AutoCad can be used for many things but files are not in the required format.
Eagle CAD and others allow you to enter the schematic. You then place the parts in the desired layout and the software autoroutes the connects (some adjustments may be needed).
