How Do I Connect A Sma Connector On The Pcb?

Basically, I have a digital ground that I can filter and use as “shield” for the SMA connector and run the filtered RF to the center conductor. But is this the correct way to connect up the SMA connector?

   You can not “filter” a digital ground. A digital ground is a return path for the supply currents of your digital logic. An analog ground is a reference point for all your analog voltages. In a well designed circuit there are no currents flowing through that ground connection. Analog ground and digital ground meet in a single point, usually where the power supply is connected to the board. That way none of the digital currents can flow through those analog ground nets.
   Please read up on the basics of mixed signal design. There are plenty of good books and application notes out there.

   You should have a ground plane on your board for all RF earths. RF grounding is quite a bit different from digital and audio practice. You are mostly interested in removing all reactance from the ground connections. This means broad short connections.
